Ignorance is well, um… ignorance

Let’s not even pretend for a moment that I subscribe to the maxim, “Ignorance is bliss,” but let’s just say there might not be any worse mental torture than that we put ourselves through when we know  we don’t know something.  That call that never comes, when passed through the “Worst Case Scenario” filter, becomes a car crash, a deadly incident. It’s never a dead battery or forgotten phone until the next morning when you feel a little stupid and terribly relieved.
